Graveyards by the Lipowa Street

The necropolis consist of four parts, catholic, protestant,
orthodox, and military. Trees, rich bird fauna, and tombstones of prominent Lubliners, such as the founder of the first public library, Hieronim Lopacinski, poet Jozef Czechowicz, or musician Romuald Lipka, encourage visitors to take a walk there. There are also mass graves of Lublin Castle prisoners murdered by the nazis, polish insurgents from 1863 and soviet soldiers, who died during fights for Lublin in 1944.
