A unique monument in the scale of whole Europe. A place where the West meets the East quite literally. The Gothic interior, which was part of the castle erected by King Casimir the Great, is filled with Byzantine-Ruthenian paintings. Both the political idea of his dynasty (uniting two worlds) and the cosmology of the 15th century are visible in it. Angels of the Chapel slept for
centuries under layers of plaster. Today they are our pride, and European Heritage Label confirms that.
