The Open Air Village Museum in Lublin

The open-air museum is situated in the valley of the Czechówka river. A wooden church from the 17th century stands next to thatched cottages, where geese and goats reign. Also, the whole borderland town – a shtetl, hides among the limes and birches and lilacs bushes. The buildings are full of treasures of the past, from folk paintings to tools of everyday work. Alongside exhibitions, outdoor events are organised, such as cult dance parties and Midsummer Night.
