…visit Lublin in winter

We are not afraid of snow and frost!

What to do in Lublin in winter? We have an offer for both outside sightseeing and visiting some interesting places.

  • Illuminations in the Old Town and Krakowskie Przedmieście are a must-see in winter in Lublin. Beautifully lit Lublin Angels, numerous Christmas trees, and even the light installation of a postcard with Lublin delight tourists and residents.
  • Christmas nativity scene. How could we celebrate Christmas without a city Christmas crib?  There are figures of the Holy Family, shepherds, animals and three Magi with their gifts in the wooden house every year. There is also a small stage around which carol singing takes place.
  • Ice-skating rink Icemania. We have an indoor ice-skating rink Icemania for those who love exercise and fun! Something for experienced skaters and beginners (support penguins are always ready to fulfill their mission!).
  • Aqua Lublin. However, if someone prefers liquid water, there is nothing better for him than the swimming pool complex in Aqua Lublin. The offer includes an Olympic swimming pool, swimming pools for adults, a paddling pool for children, slides, saunas, and… an outdoor hot water pool! Who said a winter cap doesn’t fit a swimsuit?
  • The National Museum and all its wealth are at the disposal of art and history lovers, as well as all those who are interested in the history of Lublin and its inhabitants. What is worth visiting? The Art Gallery at the Lublin Castle, the Holy Trinity Chapel, the Museum of the History of the City of Lublin, the Józef Czechowicz Literary Museum or the Martyrdom Museum “Under the Clock”.
  • Basilica of St. Stanisław (at the Dominicans). The church is beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations every year, and in the evenings it turns into a concert space, hosting the best musicians, choirs, and singers. There is no end to caroling! How to participate in the event in the basilica of Dominicans? You should follow the “Kultura na Złotej” website.
  • The “Grodzka Gate – NN Theater” Centre, the Lublin Underground Trail, and the House of Words, are open throughout the year. They show the history of the city, from the first settlements, through the Golden Age, the pre-war city, to the fight for freedom and democracy in Poland.
  • Warm tea in Places of Inspiration. After a walk through the snowy streets of Lublin, nothing will bring as much warmth as a pleasant interior, filled with the scent of regional dishes. Tea or mulled beer accompanied by local delicacies is a good complement to a frosty day. Check out our Places of Inspiration!
