The reserve is located in the Kozłówka Forests in the Lubartów municipality. It was established in 1958 to protect stands of sessile oak outside its range. The fauna of the reserve is typical of large forest complexes, which is why it is not difficult to encounter the common fox, badger, red deer, as well as the short-toed lizard. In the reserve, the Old Tartak hunting lodge is worth a visit. It is an ideal place for those wishing to relax in close contact with nature, in silence and in the clean forest air.
