The palace and park complex in Gardzienice

In 1689, as a result of the marriage between Zofia Aniela Czarniecka and Michał Potocki, Gardzienice became the property of the Potocki family. It was they who started the reconstruction of the fortified manor house into a baroque palace. Today’s park occupies the western and southern parts of the elevation, joining the scarp separating the elevation from the river valley to the west. Today, the Centre for Theatre Practices “Gardzienice” is located here.
