The Bystrzyca is the biggest river flowing through Lublin. Its runs from south to northeast within the city, creating a shallow valley. The width of the valley varies from several hundred meters to about one and a half kilometres. Its total length in the city is no shorter than 21 km. The Bystrzyca Valley is a valuable area in terms of nature, history, culture and recreation.
